As a means of properly and efficiently diverting waste, TD Irie Music Festival will have several clearly marked recycling stations, to divert waste from landfills. Our goal for 2011 is to divert 70% of our waste from landfills.

Recycling Stations

To ensure that we meet our targets, clearly marked compost, plastic and paper recycling and waste bins will be available at the Queens Park location. Each recycling station will be observed by our Eco Ambassadors, to help attendees dispose of waste accordingly.

Electronic Waste Collection

We’ve partnered up this year for Certified Electronic Waste Collection which will be stationed for all three days collecting electronic waste at our Queens Park location. Inorganic Market® finds ways to properly recycle and dispose of all electronic waste, and ensures that none it is sent to landfills.
We ask that you bring all your computer and electronic waste to be properly disposed at the festival, and Inorganic Market® will collect the items and recycle it in accordance with their mission.

Here is a list of items Inorganic Market will be collecting:

    Computers

  • Printers, scanners
  • Hard drives
  • Monitors
  • Gaming consoles
    Electronics

  • MP3 Players
  • Cellular and Cordless phones
  • DVD/VCR players
  • TVs

Water StationsWater Stations

TD Irie Music Festival is committed to reducing our waste, and going forward, we will not promote the sale of plastic water bottles at our festival. Instead, we are making water stations available throughout the festival grounds at Queens Park. We invite all attendees to bring refillable water bottles to the festival, and free water will be made available. In addition, you can purchase your very own festival stainless steel water bottles and refill with water.
