Since King Ujah released his debut album Beauty for Ashes in 2004, and his sophomore album Glorify the King in 2009, he has been receiving extensive airplay in Canada, and internationally. In 2007 and 2008 King Ujah was awarded “Top Dancehall style DJ”. In 2009 his song Crazy was featured in the TV mini series “The Best Years”. In May 2009 his song “Crazy” was selected by Noteborn Music (an international Publishing Company) for potential use in upcoming TV shows, feature films, and/or advertising campaigns. He has shared the stage with local and international artists, often experiencing fans requesting an encore. King Ujah has performed on countless shows, and festivals in Canada, but was very proud when in 2010 he was asked to perform at Reggae Sumfest in Montego Bay, Jamaica. King Ujah writes his own songs and has been working on his third album. The singles Take You There and Curfew from the third album will be officially released to radio stations and record stores on June 25, 2011. In the meantime videos for these singles can be viewed on his YouTube, Facebook, and MySpace. King Ujah’s previously released singles, Granny Got it, and Universal Love are now available on iTunes and continue to do very well. Their videos are also available on these sites. Look out for King Ujah’s highly anticipated album as it is scheduled to be released on October 22, 2011.
