The Sensual Soulful vocals of Carlos Budd Ford fill the void left by such R&B legends as Luther Vandross and Smokey Robinson. His unique and distinctive voice takes you back to the classics, but with a modern-day Hip-Hop/R&B twist.

From Los Angeles-CA, by way of Kansas City, Missouri, Carlos is seasoned in the world of music as a writer, producer and vocalist. So, it’s no surprise that he’d one day rise up and take his rightful position behind the microphone after beginning his career by honing his craft as one of the lead singers in a dynamic band known throughout the Mid-West as “Grand Jury”, birthing some of the most talented artists, musicians, and producers in the industry today.

After being signed to major labels Uptown/MCA and Ruffhouse/Columbia respectively, as a lead vocalist in the group “Four Sure” in the mid 90’s, Carlos took the opportunity to learn valuable lessons in both work ethic and perseverance from label mates such as Mary J. Blige, Sean “Puffy” Combs”, The Fugees, and Andre Harrell, just to name a few.

The time has come for Carlos, who has gained confidence in both his talent and ability to deliver as a solo artist. He is now prepared to launch an assault on the industry with his eclectic blend of R&B/Soul with just a touch of Jazz and Hip Hop.
